Daily Fatigue
Facts and Figures
Too Tired For Work
Daily Fatigue is closing the gap on stress as a major reason for people taking time off work. More than one in ten people (11%) admit that they have not been to work because they are too tired. While stress is now widely accepted as a cause of days lost at work, these new findings suggest that fatigue is having a significant impact on the nation.
Not Enough Energy To...
Fatigue seems to have a significant effect on people's everyday lives with:
  • One in four (26%) too tired to tackle everyday jobs such as shopping and paying the bills
  • Over one in three (34%) too tired to go out and socialise
  • Nearly one in five people (17%) too tired for a relationship
Workplace Demands For Exi-Time
With eight in ten workplaces not actively encouraging their staff to exercise or providing any exercise facilities, nearly half of people in the UK (43%) think they should be offered 'exi-time', or a space in the working day when they are allowed to exercise.
Lacking in Energy - Get A Partner ... Or A Cleaner!
While men want a partner to help them cope with the demands of modern day life (17%), women prefer to employ a cleaner (23%)!

Men are 60% more likely than women to get frisky to fight fatigue, while over two fifths of women (41%) hit the shops for therapy when energy levels are flagging.
How Do You Fight Your Fatigue?
To fight fatigue, 54% would rather watch TV, whilst 37% go shopping, 30% play computer games and if all else fails, 29% turn to drink.
Men vs Women
Even though men exercise more than women, when it comes to exercising outdoors, 31% of men would rather not unless the weather is fair and sunny, compared to only 25% of women. Who says that women are the fairer sex!
Young vs Old
Whilst the older generation spend the least amount of money on exercise, they are miles ahead when it comes to exercising on a regular basis with 56% of those surveyed over 55 years of age exercising everyday compared to only 22% of those aged 18-34.
