| Relax and De-stress |
 |
| We seem to be so busy today - seeing
friends, going to the gym, working late - that we don't even think to
leave anytime time free for 'me time'. One of the best ways of
combating fatigue is relaxation. Here are some of the best techniques
to help you reduce stress at work and at home and relax:
|
 |
- Prioritise. Write down a list of things to do today. Tick
them off as you go - you might not get them all done but at
least you will be encouraged by your progress
- Make a note in your diary for some 'me time' - reschedule a
meeting at work or a night out for time to relax
- Give yourself credit for your achievements and reflect on
them when stressed
- Know your limits and learn to say no or delegate where
possible
- Be kind to yourself and think positively
- Practise relaxation techniques such as meditation or yoga to
help you slow down and unwind
- Make time for exercise - you may not feel like it but it
will give you more energy and improve your mood
- Ensure you get enough sleep, it will provide you with the
energy you need to tackle stress
- Get a massage, get your friend or partner to work those
knots out of your shoulders
- Try to relax and laugh more often - laughter is a great
tonic
